How the pilot works

- Apply below. We review your promotion plan before approving an affiliate account.
- After approval, sign in at the portal with an email code. Your link and code appear in its Affiliate section.
- The referred builder submits your code with their first application. Attribution is reviewed when their builder application is approved. An affiliate code never bypasses membership, project or milestone review.
- An eligible reward actually delivered to that builder during the first 12 calendar months after their builder approval generates an additional 20% non-cash affiliate reward. The builder keeps 100% of their own reward.
Example: a delivered €100 API-credit allowance can qualify for €20 of affiliate reward value. This is not cash, a payout, a discount taken from the builder or an official model-provider sponsorship. Pending milestones, unissued offers and signups earn nothing.
We must agree the funded offer, delivery rights, valuation, currency, expiry and redemption terms before issuing a reward. A subscription or other indivisible benefit needs an agreed value; we do not promise fractional subscriptions or currency conversion. Referral rewards themselves do not generate another commission. No automatic issuance or reward balance is available in this first release.
Use one affiliate code per builder. No self-referrals, duplicate identities, fabricated metrics or retrospective claims on existing approved builders. Disputed attribution is reviewed by OpenRoot; contact hello@openroot.dev to correct a mistaken code before approval. You must disclose your affiliate relationship clearly when promoting OpenRoot and respect community rules. Do not spam or imply guaranteed rewards.
Affiliate-only accounts do not grant GitHub membership, project access, builder badges or private applicant data. Building in OpenRoot needs a separate builder application. Sharing a code is not proof of membership or endorsement. There is no fee to apply or participate.
Your information
We privately store your name, email, promotion plan, consent version and review decision on Google Cloud. Signup applications expire after 90 days through asynchronous deletion. Approval creates a separate active affiliate profile, code and portal account, retained while you participate. Existing builder-account expiry is not extended by affiliate approval. Necessary sign-in codes and approval updates are sent through Resend; this does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
A code submitted by a builder is recorded for reviewed attribution. Affiliates are not given the builder's email, application, repository details or identifiable referral list. This page and the portal do not load site analytics or affiliate tracking cookies.
